Happy Birthday Ashley

This cute girl turned 4 on Sunday.  She's been excited for weeks, not fully understanding terms such as "next Sunday," or even "tomorrow."  But it finally came.

Ashley is our snuggle bug, loving to cuddle and give hugs.  She is a great big sister to Dallin, playing with him and watching out for him.  She loves drawing and coloring and will work on a project for a long time, carefully filling a page with lots of color. She loves to learn and do "preschool activities" with Mom.  She can't say some of the sounds in the Alphabet, which makes her speech adorable.  We especially love to listen to her sing.

Ashley is into skirts and dresses.  She got a few play ones, and I made her this one from here.  Feeling ambitious and with leftover material, I made a matching skirt then shirt for her doll.  This is one of my proudest crafty accomplishments.

The twirlier the better. (Colby was sick for the birthday festivities.)

We love you Ashley!

Dad was playing with the camera again.

"Smile, Dallin."

"OK, now make a mean face."
"We'll work on it.  Now, say Aaahhhh."
"Good!  Now stick out your tongue."
"Good!  Let's close our eyes."

"Very good! Touch your nose."
 "Pat your head."

"Touch your ear."
"Now let's try the mean face again."

At least Bryan mastered it.  And Dallin mastered the mean-face growl that went with it.  Maybe next time he'll get the eyebrows and mouth down.

When Dad plays with Daughter's hair...

A lazy Saturday morning with Bryan and Sienna getting creative...

Bryan dared Sienna to wear her hair like the last picture to a birthday party she was attending that night.  So she did!

Lesson in Style

Ashley has discovered this hot pink vest that Grandpa gave to Sienna when she was four years old.  She will wear it with anything, about 6 days a week.

Impatience

I usually get the bath water started then start undressing Dallin.  I got distracted with something this time and Dallin was too eager to wait for mom.
